"MATH SAT 800 has a lot of medium and difficult math problems to help study for the SAT, so you can skip over all the easy stuff and work on the problems you're getting wrong.

They go through the answers for each problem so you can check everything that you don't get right, and there are some good tips for doing the different kinds of problems."

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if this book is right for me?

First, you should take a real SAT exam found in The College Boards Official SAT Study Guide. Or, you can take a real timed test administered by the Educational Testing Service. After you find out that you scored at least a 550 out of 800, you must then ask yourself how much work you are willing to do, and how much time you will have to devote toward studying the math portion of the SAT exam. If you feel that you have a solid background in the material and have scored in the top 25% of test takers (550/800), you should be able to handle the material in the book if you study very hard. The lower your current score on the SAT, the more time and effort you will need to put in to achieving a higher score.

Just how difficult are the problems?

All the problems are typical of the problems that are rated a “4” or “5” on the ETS scale of difficulty. The student who scores between  550 and 600 on the SAT test, may experience moments of slight frustration in attempting to solve the problems, but once you have read the comprehensive, detailed solution to each problem, you should be able to know how to solve the same type of problem the next time you encounter one.

I scored a 750 out of 800.  Will this book help me achieve an even a higher score?

Yes. If you scored between a 700 and 790, you are definitely in the target audience of the book. The 425 problems that you will attempt to solve will inevitably help you raise your score up to your highest potential.

I scored a 550 out of 800. Will I find the book too difficult?

As long as your current SAT score is 550 or above, and as long as you have mastered the foundations of the math covered on the SAT exam, this book is appropriate for you.  However, expect to invest considerably more effort studying for the math SAT test.  You will inevitably experience moments of frustration, but also moments of achievement and gratification when it finally ‘clicks.’

I scored a 500 out of 800 on my math SAT.  My goal is to score a 600. Will this book be appropriate for me?

We advise that you first purchase an intermediate SAT book before you purchase this one. Study another SAT book of your choice that covers the fundamental SAT material, and take a few practice tests. You will find real practice tests in the book The College Boards Official SAT Study Guide. After you have scored at least a 550 on the practice test/s, it will then be beneficial for you to use this book. If you try to study our book without a strong foundation in algebra and geometry, you will find the material in our book too difficult to follow.

Where can I purchase the book?

On Amazon.com. Just click “purchase” on the Amazon book image provided on every page. You will not find the book in any bookstore right now, as our book is self-published by Booksurge.com, an affiliate of Amazon.com. If you are a client of TutorPro, a Maryland based in-home tutoring agency, you will be supplied with the book at no cost to you as long as you enroll in our comprehensive 13-hour private advanced math SAT course.

Why is this book more expensive than other SAT books?

Our self-published book is more expensive than are other SAT books published by traditional publishers, because traditional publishers print books in greater quantities, and therefore find it cheaper to produce a book. With a print-on-demand self-publishing company like booksurge.com, where the books are printed one at a time, the cost of producing each book is much higher, and therefore must be priced to the buyer higher as well.

How long does it take to finish studying this book?

It depends of course on how many hours you study every day. Expect 3-5 hours of study time per chapter. There are 13 chapters in the book. Thus, if you spend one hour a day studying our book, you can expect to complete the book in 6-8 weeks. If you study our book two hours per day, expect to complete the book in 4 weeks.
